Microneedling

Microneedling, aka Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is one the newest, easiest and most effective skin treatments available promoting skin rejuvenation.Micro needling works in allowing the skin to naturally repair itself by systematically treating the area with superficial microscopic wounds.

Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin our body reuses the damaged collagen and elastin fibres as well as other damaged skin components to produce new ones. Thus micro needling is a controlled form of inducing the skin’s self repair mechanism by creating micro “injuries” which trigger new collagen synthesis.The result is smoother, firmer, younger looking skin.

How does it work?

The procedure is normally completed within 30-45 minutes depending on the required treatment and which area is being treated.

A topical anaesthetic is applied to the client’s skin to ensure their comfort and a painless experience. After the skin is numbed, the practitioner starts the treatment, over the client’s skin to puncture the outermost layers of the skin and create miniscule sub-cutaneous injuries, applying the suitable serum. These micro wounds stimulate new collagen, effects of which can be seen for up to a year, yet these micro wounds close in the following hours, causing no bruising or injury.

A post treatment mask packed with nutrition is then applied for 20-30 minutes.

And the client is given a course of skin cocktails to administer after the treatment.

What to expect after the treatment?

After the treatment the skin is reddened like that of a sun burn. One might also experience skin tightness and mild sensitivity to touch, which will be felt for a few hours after which will diminish in the next 24 hours

Results of rejuvenated skin are visible after 6 to 8 weeks and continue to look even better for up to a year. Immediate effects are already seen after the first session. Sessions are recommended, spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart.

BioRePeelCl3 is an Italian medical peel intended for strong skin bio-stimulation and hydration without the exfoliating effect, making this treatment right for everyone.

BioRePeelCl3 is a two-phase, patented medical chemical peel based on a combination of amino acids, acids, vitamins and GABA. It is a revitalizing, bio stimulating, moisturizing and antioxidant treatment. The treatment can be performed both independently and in combination with microneedling treatments. To increase the effect of peeling, I recommend combining it with microneedling.

Before the peel avoid using self-tanners, scrubs or exfoliating agents for at least 48 hours. Stop using glycolic acid, retinol and retinol based products 3 days before peel. Do not wax facial hair 1 week prior to treatment. Please notify if you have a history of cold sores, fever blisters or herpes outbreak anywhere on the face prior to appointment.

You can expect in the days following the treatment that you will have some shedding of the skin between the second and the tenth day after the peeling in the area treated. Slight redness of the skin may occur and will disappear within 24-48 hours after treatment.

If the client is on a course of isotretinoin, it is not recommended to have the peel until 6 months after withdrawal of the medication.

Not suitable for people with allergies to salicylates.. The peel is not to be used if there are any diseases and / or infections that affect the skin such as dermatitis or herpes and caution with keloids. Not suitable during pregnancy or lactation.

For the face, neck and neckline, a series of 4-6 treatments should be performed every 7-10 days.
